There's never a good time to start something new

You guys, there is never a good time to start something new. This is a conversation I'm having with a potential new client who is chatting with me online. Life is always busy. You're always tired. The list is always too long. You don't know how you could fit one more thing into your crazy day.

I hear you. I AM you. The thing that's crazy about yoga is that it makes all the busyiness (I HATE this word) feel, well, less busy. It actually creates space--in your life, in your mind, in your body, in your soul. The picture above is when I first opened Blue Door in 2015. We were in the middle of renovating a house and 3 acre property, I had 3 young kids, I worked as an aide at the kids' school--life was BUSY. But if I hadn't jumped in with both feet right then and there, when would the world slow down enough for it to be the perfect time? Never.

I was just talking with someone today and she was telling me about how she just retired. I congratulated her and said how is retirement. She told me that her schedule is fully booked through May 2025. I said, people who retire always say they don't know how they worked and fit everything in. That's the thing: you will always fill the space with something. YOU get to choose what you fill it with.

Fill it with YOU. Fill it with making yourself a priority. It will make everything feel more manageable. Trust me.
